The Matchless Spinning Wheel is the most responsive spinning wheel available today. Whether you choose single treadle or double treadle action, you'll appreciate our wheels' matchless capabilities.
Also included with each wheel: 4 bobbins, threading hook, Lazy Kate and a carrying strap.
The Schacht Matchless Spinning Wheel offers double drive, Scotch tension, and bobbin lead modes of operation. Wheels come with two flyer whorls (medium and fast); four additional flyer whorls offer spinning ratios from 4:1 to 22:1.
The 19 1/2" drive wheel and flyer shaft are supported by self-aligning bronze bearings for precise action. Each flyer is individually balanced and the bobbins and flyer whorls are trued on center for long and superior service.

The Ladybug has the characteristic solid Schacht construction and its unique design is both functional and charming. Designed-in carrying handles in the legs and light weight make the Ladybug easy to pick up and transport. An optional attached tensioned Lazy Kate integrates into the front leg and makes it easy to take along, too! The Ladybug Spinning Wheel uses Scotch tension, and can also be used in double drive mode. Features include a generously-sized 7/8” orifice, large capacity bobbin (about 8 ounces), sliding flyer hooks with incremental stops, and large round guide hooks. The Bulky Plyer Flyer comes with its own special front maiden, bulky flyer, and bulky bobbin. A cherry wood version for cherry Matchless spinning wheels is also available.
The Schacht Bulky Plyer Flyer Package comes with the bulky flyer and one bulky bobbin, and a front maiden and bearing for either the Matchless, Ladybug, or Sidekick Spinning Wheel. For spinners with multiple wheels, order the package for one wheel and the bulky front maiden and bearing for the other(s). The bulky flyer and bobbin can then be used on other wheels.
The regular, travel, and high speed bobbins fit on the bulky flyer shaft, so you don't need to change flyers to use your existing bobbins.
The tensioning changed in 11-19-11 on the Matchless so you do need to know which one you have.
The whorl ratios do not change when using the bulky flyer.

Schacht Matchless Lazy Kate

Lazy Kate intended for the Matchless. This is the one that I use for all my wheels. It fits bobbins from Louet, Majacraft, and Fricke as well as the Schacht bobbins. It doesn't fit the small diameter holes on the Ashford bobbins though.
It's shown in the photo with Bobbins but it is just for the lazy kate itself. It's an old photo as well. It does look a little bit different these days but functions even better and folds down if you wish.
