ABOUT:
This is a small hand built dish. It's got it's uses wide open. What do you want to put in it? Cupcake? MnM's? Stitch markers? Jewlery? Change? It's a simple but beautiful little dish with an elegant edge and majolica painting on the inside. The outer bits are a semi solid single color that coordinates.
Majolica is a style of pottery that uses a colored clay base (in this case terracotta) and a white opaque glaze over that. On top of that designs are painted. Of course I like sheep but you'll see many other themes in what I have on the mugs, cups and dinnerware.
I really do have a love of bugs. Dragonflies visit me in the shop. They zip in, pop at the lights until I shut them off and then they land somewhere before they head out. Beautiful big buzzy things.

PROCESS:
Everything is hand made so please allow
for variation in listings that show multiple items. Each item is hand
formed using slabs of clay and impressions. Everything is made to last
and fired in a kiln. Then I choose a series of glazes that will help
bring out the whimsy and personality of each mug. It is then given it's
second trip into the hot hot kiln to make it the sexy little item it is
today.

ABOUT:
This is a handbuilt terracotta cup. My little
hands have formed and created each individual one. More so than my wheel
thrown mugs and cups, these are really individual because of that.
These are exactly what they are and they are perfect in every way that
any hand made item is meant to be.
It's got 3 well placed stable
feet. If you use a mug warmer, even though the bottom of the mug is up
off the warmer, it still keeps your drink warm! The design is textured
outside and glazed everywhere but the tiny little pads of it's feet.
Each cup has 3 different glazes and colors on it to make each one
unique. The Inside is smooth with all corners rounded so even if you're
making cocoa that last bit of chocolate can't hide from you!
SIZE and USE:
I've come to prefer the mugs (cups) without handles following the old adage "if it's too hot to touch, it's too hot to drink". This cup holds approximately 10 ounces of your favorite tea, coffee,
whiskey... What's in your cup?
