ABOUT:This is a handbuilt terracotta teacup/espresso cup. My little hands have formed and created each individual one. More so than my wheel thrown mugs and cups, these are really individual because of that. These are exactly what they are and they are perfect in every way that any hand made item is meant to be. It's got 3 well placed stable feet. If you use a mug warmer, even though the bottom of the mug is up off the warmer, it still keeps your drink warm! The design is textured outside and glazed everywhere but the tiny little pads of it's feet. Each cup has 3 different glazes and colors on it to make each one unique. The Inside is smooth with all corners rounded so even if you're making cocoa that last bit of chocolate can't hide from you! SIZE and USE:This mug holds approximately 4-6 ounces of your favorite tea, coffee, whiskey... It's a bit bigger than a shot glass but who am I to tell you it's not a shot glass?Each item is individually hand made and glazed to my specifications. I make these items to be used. This is food safe. It is also microwave safe - Safe for top rack of the dishwasher. Though, considerate use is always recommended with any handmade one of a kind item. PROCESS:Everything is hand made so please allow for variation in listings that show multiple items. Each item is hand formed using slabs of clay and impressions. Everything is made to last and fired in a kiln. Then I choose a series of glazes that will help bring out the whimsy and personality of each mug. It is then given it's second trip into the hot hot kiln to make it the sexy little item it is today.
