Goblin eats newbie
October was my first month in the fiber club, and I had to let Goblin Eyes sit in the stash before it told me what it wanted to be. It wanted to be fraternal twins:

These are two skeins of DK-ish weight singles, about 12 WPI, fulled nigh unto death. I separated the fiber, spun all the colors up on one bobbin, then spun the darks up on another. I’m hoping to make a pair of Newfoundland Mitts with it all, though I may be pretty short on yardage–the colorful skein is about 126 yds and the muted one about 111 yds.
Can’t wait for November’s fiber!

Cool pattern. I hope you have enough, that would look really great!

I’m really surprised, because my fiber doen’t look at all, like the ones I’ve seen so far. I don’t have black or that dark in it. Doesn’t matter. :o)
Looking forward to your mittens. I’ve made 4 pairs so far! (Newfoundland mittens that is)

I’m mulling over either doubling the October fiber with another yarn to make gauge and stretch the yardage, or just doing the newfoundland pattern on the back of the mitten…. We’ll see. Frankly, by the time I get to knitting this up, it’ll probably be April and mitten weather will be over!
