I don’t know why I have those guys on the brain but I’ve been singing the Ooompa Loompa songs all morning. I haven’t looked in the mirror in so long that it’s possible I’ve turned into an orange person with green hair. The interesting thing is that in my mind I’ve changed a good number of the words to relate to fiber and yarn. I thought my brain had ceased to speak anything other than computer junk, but I think it might be coming back to the land of the living.
In case you’re not on my Notify List you might not have seen that yesterday I did indeed update the site.

That would be the new “Grand Opening” Colorway. This colorway is available until the 15th then I’ll discontinue its. The Sale is a little shorter than that. The sale on handpaints ends Saturday Morning at about 7am EST.
I still have a few products (ok, a lot of products) to still add to the site. I need to work on shipping this morning and then this afternoon hopefully I’ll manage to get another good bunch up. If there is something that you see that I need to update just send me an email and I’ll do it asap. I’ve got notes all over the place to make sure I do everything.
There has been precious little knitting and spinning this week. All my time has been working on the site and really not much else. I’m in the hopes that I’ll be doing some relaxing and fibering this weekend. Maybe I’ll have something interesting on Monday. Have a good weekend all!
I had a great weekend. The shop open house was wonderful. There were so many of you that came, even in the bad weather. We made a couple of new spinners too. I love it when that happens. So thank you all for making it a good and festive open house.
I’m working on the website to update it with a page for shop info so I can list classes and any shop specials. I’m still working on the new website too. I know any normal person would probably have this done by now. I struggle with all thing computer wise. It’s been an uphill battle of learning. I wish I could say the next update would all be on the new site but I don’t think I can get it done that quickly. We’re going to try to have a lot more done though. Which means if I’m on the computer I need to be working.
So you are all getting this lame post. I will leave with a picture of a yarn that I was able to finish this weekend:

It’s 578 yards of singles from the Hello Yarn fiber club. It’s Romney in Bake Alaska colorway. Nice huh? It’s my favorite so far.
You know I’ve been busy if casting on for a scarf sounds like a good idea.

I think I might be able to blame Norma a little for it. Her friend in This Post looks so cute with the scarf on and Norma made it sound like an easy knit and she posted a link to the pattern. What’s a gal to do when faced with all of that? That’s right. The gal casts on.
The scarf and I have an understanding. She knows that as soon as I have more time and can work on a more complicated pattern, she’ll be cast into the UFO heap. She is made with handspun but still that may not be enough to get me to finish it. We’re all ok with that.
In fact what I need to pick up when I have a brain is this:

Yes, it’s acrylic. My girls need something washable and there is a specific sweater that belongs to “7 going on 20″ that I need to replace. It’s something that she got as a gift last year and it started to fall apart after the first washing. Now it’s in shambles and the only way I can throw it away (in a nice way, we could of course do this with lots of screaming and tears) is to replicate it. This is the yarn that was chosen to replicate it. I’m pretty sure the yarn will hold up well. Lets hope I hold up to the acrylic knitting.
I’m leaving you for the weekend with a picture from Halloween.

My sneaker wearing Gypsies. And in case you can’t see what is on their “crystal” ball - the future foretold a couple of girls with massive bags of candy and more candy floating all about them. That was quite true. They both overfilled their bags.
