May del 2008 - <title>Boogie Knits Boogie Knits

Hey folks. I just listed the rest of the stuff that came in for the Pippi benefit auctions. Oh my word. I want to roll around in the box of goodies, and the box is big enough that I could do just that.

Just as the other day, the words bring you to the auction and the picture brings you to my flickr to see it bigger or more photos.

The Handspun Handknit shawl I’ll blog more about this another day.

Happy Bidding! I think there are a couple of things I need to see if Hubby will bid on for me.

Click on the words to see the auctions and informations about the generous donators. Click on the pictures to get to my flickr to see them big and in some cases, more photos.

K is for Keys.
As in Keyboard letter keys.
As in lost keys.
As in, I miss those keys.

Sometimes as I type, I miss hitting those keys. They work if you stab them. So my typing has gotten a little stabby thanks to those missing keys. Some days the stabby works out and other days, I spend a lot of time going back and re-stabbing them.

First I want to thank everyone that came out, said hi, stopped in ntroduced themselves, chatted with me and bought goodies. You all are awesome and the reason I keep doing these shows. It’s always great to meet all the people that I “meet” online. It’s great to put a face to the name on the order or to the Ravelry name. Thanks for making my weekend special.

I didn’t get much chance to get out of the booth. But I did manage to come away with a little bit of loot.
I picked up a couple more Bosworth spindles.
Sheila held out a Tulipwood for me. I’m a sucker for tulipwood and pretty burls.
mini_tulip24
It came in a little heavy at 24 grams. I had hoped that it would be the pair for the Amboyna I got a couple weekends ago. I guess that just means I’ll have to get more.

midi_tasrosemyrtle22
This is Tasmanian Rose Myrtle Midi to match the other two 22 gram spindles I have. I decided I wanted to do a three ply so I had to have a 3rd. It’s great that they all match so well. They’re all in the rose range yet all slightly different. I love them.

And I of course had to have new fiber projects.
From Enchanted Knoll I had to go to Massachusetts to buy fiber from another Mainer. How silly am I? Irresistable stuff is what it is.

Right next to me was the Gurdy Woolen Mill I got to play with some of the fibers on Saturday as the show was winding down (had to test the new spindles) so I knew I had to go home with some.
turdyordange
It’s a tweedy blend. It will be an obnoxious orange squishy sweater.

All day Saturday I kept seeing bags, BIG bags, from Spinner’s Hill. I just had to have some.

I’m thinking shawl.

I can’t wait to get playing with some of my new goodies. After catching up on some swatching today, I think I’m going to play.
